Match racing requires the fundamentals of a fleet racer, the tactics of a chess master, and the teamwork of a Nascar pit crew. In less than twenty minutes teams will have completed a boxing match-like pre-start, two spinnaker sets and douses, and enough tacks and gybes to tire a marathon runner.
